The inaugural Legends of Motorsports, a Bobby Rahal Signature Event, was held May 21-23, 2010 at the beautiful Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. The Legends series is a new player in the vintage/historic auto racing arena, founded last October by 1986 Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal, Zak Brown, and Peter Stoneberg. Parent company Historic Motorsports Productions LLC (HMP), located in Zionsville, Indiana, is a business partnership dedicated to staging premium historic racing events and related lifestyle experiences under the Legends brand at premier North American venues.

Martin Spetz gives us a look at the "latest thing" in "Historic" "Racing." New cars with famous liveries. Some like this kind of thing; others think it dishonors the old cars on which these liveries appeared. We don't know what to think. (Except this is the car we think Porsche needs to develop into a real race car.)-Editor-
