As is our policy, we're not replaying Le Mans for you, but rather commenting on some of the things that struck us over the course of the 24 hours and that have been on our mind since.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
It wasn’t the pros that won GT2, it was the gentlemen. The first two, IMSA Performance and the No. 99 entry of Risi Competizione – a partnership with Houston oil billionaire Tracy Krohn – fielded two pros each, Richard Lietz and Patrick Long with IMSA owner Raymond Narac, Nic Jönsson and youngster Colin Braun with Krohn. After that it was pretty much entirely the membership of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, with only Alan Simonsen and Rob Bell pros among the nine drivers of the remaining three cars able to finish Le Mans’ Diamond Anniversary race.

Of course Murphy can't ignore the GT field. GT1 looks like a great dust-up, and there are four GT2 cars that are in the running for class laurels, he thinks. -Editor-
