Tomorrow is the Indy 500 - North America's most important motorsport event - so here are a few more images of America's premier open wheel racing series at Long Beach.-Editor-

With the 500 coming up Sunday (after F1 at Monaco and before the Coca Cola 600, if you're doing them all live) we thought a few images of the Indycars at Long Beach would be nice. Here's the first of two Dave R Johnson galleries.-Editor-

Roger Penske is called “The Captain” for running a tight team ship and for his brilliance as a race strategist. Last Sunday he showed why, and Ryan Briscoe won his second victory of the IndyCar season by a convincing 7.8 seconds over stablemate Helio Castroneves, in a Penske Racing 1-2 sweep.

Joe Martin, Sr. has been giving us excellent coverage of the events around the ALMS main event, things like historic races, IMSA Tech Talks, and in this case a gallery of the Indy Racing League, the folks who help out by filling in with a few practices then a race on Sunday at Mid-Ohio.
